The Dairy Farmers Best of the Best Pizza Challenge is Australia's only national premier pizza competition that has produced four international champions! It is open to every independent pizza making establishment across the nation.
The Challenge
- Two independent categories - Traditional and Gourmet
- Pizzas must demonstrate the best use of the specified ingredients (cheese, smallgoods, mystery box)
- A detailed entry form - including copy of current menu - must be submitted prior to closing date
- Pizzas must be 11", 12" or 13" diameter or of another size approved by the competition Event Manager (see website for details)
- All successful applicants will be invited to participate in the relevant state preliminary cook-offs*
- A maximum of 5 finalists per category/state (traditional/gourmet) will be chosen
- Selected finalists must provide detailed recipes of all pizzas entered prior to state and national finals
- State final winners in each category will progress to the national final where only one overall national winner will be chosen maximum 10 competitors
- Pizzas chosen for entry must be standard menu items no specials or limited time offers may be entered
*All preliminary cook off dates and locations to be confirmed and communicated to all successful applicants.
