The Dairy Farmers Best of the Best Pasta Challenge is the newest National Foods competition aimed at independent food service professionals in Australia. 

The Challenge

  • Pasta dishes must demonstrate the best use of the sponsors and other ingredients.
  • One dish is your own creation, the other is from a black box decided on the day.
  • A detailed entry form - including a detailed copy of your recipe - must be submitted prior to closing date.
  • Pasta dough must be made fresh on the morning of the competition (State & National Finals).
  • All successful applicants will be invited to participate in the relevant state preliminary cook-offs*.
  • A maximum of 5 finalists per state will be chosen.
  • Selected finalists must provide detailed recipes of all pasta entered prior to state and national finals.
  • State final winners in each category will progress to the national final where only one overall national winner will be chosen maximum 5 competitors.

 

*All preliminary cook off dates and locations to be confirmed and communicated to all successful applicants.

#Additional prizes may form a part of the National winner package at the discretion of National Foods.

The Prizes

State Winner:

will receive a trophy, $1000 prize money, return economy airfare and required accommodation to compete in the National final in Melbourne, September 2010

National Winner:

will receive a trophy, $5000 prize money and a $5000 joint marketing package to promote their establishment#
